Dry Verge Installation & Replacement in Dublin

Mortar-free roof edges for houses across Dublin city and county — from the estates of Swords, Blanchardstown and Tallaght to the older terraces and semis in the city postal districts.

Most tiled roofs in Dublin were originally finished with a bed of cement mortar along the gable. Decades of wind coming off the Irish Sea, along with the usual freeze and thaw, break that mortar down: it cracks, goes hollow, and eventually sections drop into the gutter or onto the driveway.

A dry verge system replaces that detail with interlocking uPVC units that are mechanically fixed to the battens and tiles. The edge of the roof is held securely without any wet trade, the exposed tile ends are covered, and the gable line reads straight from the road.

We fit dry verge systems on the full range of Dublin housing stock — 1960s and 1970s semis in Finglas, Raheny and Walkinstown, coastal properties in Clontarf, Malahide, Dún Laoghaire and Dalkey where wind exposure is a real factor, and newer estates in Ongar, Citywest and Stepaside where plastic verge units fitted years ago have begun to fade or work loose.

Give us a call on 085 184 0105 with your area and the type of roof tile you have, and we will arrange to look at the verge and price the work.
